Fig Birds and more..

I thought I would try to photograph some Fig Birds to-day as they have been raiding some of the  trees on our property all week but I was quite taken when I spotted two (or a pair) of Topknot Pigeons way up in the canopy of a very old Fig tree.

A first for me and what a spectacular bird with that curious swept back snazzy "hair do", grey in front and ginger behind!. They aren't the best photo's as they were in the very top of a 20M tree and in the shade, amongst branches as they do,etc, etc. So there has been a bit of cropping and to make things worse my computer is now running at 0.00001% of its usual speed because I have used all my agreed down load allowance with Telstra until the 25th! I will post the remaining photographs I intended to include another time.
