Fitzroy Falls and Irrawong.

Heres some recent photos I have taken: The Superb Lyrebird is at Fitzroy Falls, the Golden Whistler is at irrawong and the Tawny Frogmouth(Not a good photo but its a cool bird) was suprisingly at my surburban house in Campbelltown.

Great work Tim. Really like your lyrebird portrait - I have never seen one.

Wonderful that you got the Frogmouth in your garden - just a once off, or is the TF a regular visitor?  A few years ago - before i was much interested in birds - I saw one sitting on my washing line at night in suburban Ryde.

Thanks.I noticed it in a tree next to my house a few months ago and it now comes every few weeks.

Beautiful Tim.  Lucky you to have a Tawny visit your home, must be some good tucker close by perhaps to keep him/her coming back..or just a nice quiet place to rest.  The Lyrebird looks a bit miffed at something in that second shot laugh, great profile shot.  Is that a Female Golden Whistler Tim?  Interesting to see the difference between yours and the subspecies here in Tas, our females are a lot plainer, without the yellow under tail - one of my favourite birds.

Thanks Wollemi and Annie. The Lyrebird was probably a bit irratated at the crowd of people that formed after I started taking photos. Yes it's a female Golden Whistler, only some have the yellow under tail. I used to think that the ones that had the yellow under tails were nonbreeding males until I learned that they are females.
