Is this a Forest Kingfisher ?

I took pictures of this handsome fellow at Brisbane QLD. It has deep blue on top and no white or yellow mark between beak and eye. Checking with Bird Guide book indicates it is a juvenile Forest Kingfisher? Please confirm.

the lack of white indicates that it is not a FK; if I look very closely I am sure that I can sure a buff spot between eyes and beak and therefore this is a Sacred K

+2 for Sacred Kingfisher. Doesn't look like a FK.

Thanks Peter and TheBirdLover. Spot on the details on no white mark above beak. This fellow is now quite comfortably standing on a Jacaranda branch and look into our lounge room here and there. That is why I could get such close up pictures.

Sacreds often appear blue under certain lighting conditions, different to the bluish-green with which they are usually depicted in field guides. some individuals may be more blue than others.

I have noticed that they have huge variations in colour, at least in Canberra. These pics are not affected by different light, they are how they looked.

not sure if you can help me with this, I am in NSW and was told that kingfishers migrate in winter, we get fingfishers all year around and I understood them to be part of the kookaburra family, my question is. Do they migrate? when? they we have a yound one in captivity, I am a licensed carer?
