My dad witnessed a Kooaburra pinching his cherry tomatoes yesterday,we have not had rain in our area for mounths now and things are doing it real tough. Have noticed a real decline in reptiles of late. I suppose some fruit wont kill him.Has anyone else seen this sort of behaviour.
I am starting to see lots of different birds coming closer to the house and surroundings and I think it is becasue of the lack of food generally owing to the dry conditions. The woodland/ rainforest type trees are all dropping their leaves and the plams are dropping fronds, I would guess there are less fruits of the trees for food too. I have seen hardly any water dragons around our pool which were plentiful last year.

today is so hot and the cattle egrets are with the cows but for the first time there was a breeding egret with them, she was sitting on the post and was fair puffing with heat, normally we don;t see the breeding ones with the cows
