Greetings all,
I have created this thread to get some feedback from you, our Birds in Backyards Members. We want to keep you informed about the goings on in the program - particularly as we are about to go national, and we also thought you would like some more general information about backyard birds and the habitats we can create for them. Of course we also do not want to overload you with information either!
Do you like our new e-Newsletter? Is there something else you would like to see in it?
Do you like getting an email to notify you that the newsletter is available to download or would you rather the newsletter be emailed to you directly?
Is there any other format you would like to receive information about Birds in Backyards other than a e-newsletter?
How often do you want feedback?
Remember, it is your program, so let us know what you want!

Just received the newsletter. It's great. I think it is an excellent way to disseminate info/facts etc. Well done.
Mick
Glad you enjoyed it Mick!

Hi Holly,
Thanks for this.
I especially like encouragement about developing garden habitat. It is a slow process as plants take a long time to get established, grow and form density, so sometimes it can be a bit disheartening! So its great to know there are others out there like me, or are also planting and doing their best to create homes for birds and other wildlife.
But life is busy for us all - so I agree about not overdoing the feedback. I would like to have a newsletter at the beginning of each season, giving us the survey results of the season just finished and guiding us in what we can be doing or looking for in the next season.
Thanks again
BB

Hi Holly,
Like the emailed newsletter idea. Keep them coming.
Thought I had a photo of the Mistletoe bird and eventually found it filed under Flowerpecker. It appears they are the same.
Cheers

Hi Holly, A news letter is great.
Any format that suits your task is great
With pictures is awsome
Relating to things on a national level is great
Often, how busy do you want to be, lol.
Hi Holly,
I really like the newsletter, thank you, it's great. I like the item on the Misteltoe bird. I was surprised to discover a male bird in our back yard last summer. He was beautiful! I also spotted one out on our property in the mallee scrub between Sedan and Adelaide. I've only recently discovered this site and am very interested in observing birds, and encouraging them into our gardens.
Thanks again,
Jenni
holly, any format is good, great work, keep in coming. Some of my picture of your featured bird posted in 'best photos'

Thanks so much for the kind words everyone. I am so glad you all enjoyed the newsletter.
Our aim will be to get one out once every 2 or 3 months.

Hi Holly.
.
Thank you for creating this site. It's been a great place for us crazy bird nuts :^D to flock to and meet other similarily minded people.
.
Is is great! I particulary liked the featured bird section.
.
Yes, that would be great!
.
A newsletter would be fine for me.
.
Just more birds!! :'D
Actually there is one thing I'ld like to request, and that's the ability to edit posts. The quote formating in my last post didn't work. :'(
Hi Gelmir - I agree, not being able to edit posts is a bit of a pain - but please stick with us!
I am a non-techo but apparently the current forum version we have apparently doesn't allow it, however we are looking into getting it added as a feature. While someone is investigating it for us, we are unsure of a time-frame/
