Nesting Rosella's

I live Casino NSW and have a nesting box placed under the eves of our house, a safe place with a small web camera in the corner of it. Last year a pair of the Eastern Rosella's spent a lot of time coming and going but didn't nest. This year however Mon-Wed she layed 2 eggs, She has been coming and going sometimes gone for up to a half an hour at a time. My concern is that last night just before dark she left the nest, it started to rain and she didn't return till this morning. She is sitting on the eggs now, what chance do these eggs have of hatching, i would have thought that they would have needed a constant temp.
I have read all i can find on Rosella's, would like to hear others views on this.

Hi Marg, birds do know, what they are doing. Seeing she has come back, she does! The eggs have to be kept at a certain temperature,so, depending on that, sometimes you see the birds sit on the edge of the nest, or not come back for some time. Don't worry, if they don't think they are threatened by anything, they will look after the eggs.M-L

I wasn't sure, and she has layed another egg now we have 3. Hoping all goes well.
Thanks for your advice.
