Overnight rain with overcast and extremely humid conditions led me to Eagelby wetlands mid-afternoon, a time I would normally not bother going. The air was not too bad but the humidity was stifling. The birds seemed to like the conditions and was lucky enough to take these Golden-headed cisticolas a mature bird and a juvenile.
Lovely shots

Aiming for DSLR-quality shots with a bridge camera
Great shots especially that third one
Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well
whoa, great shots, - those birds are tiny and never stop still for long.
Great shots alcatraz. I love these little guys. I still get their calls confused with the Tawny Grassbird as they are both often in the same patch. Love the colours on the Juvi, very cute
I have trouble distinguishing these guys from tawny grass birds.

Hi Michael, Think the grass birds have more of a spikey hairdo and are slightly larger. For me the stripes on the Cisticola are the real identifier. Sounds like you are close to me at Mt Warren Park ? Cheers, Murray
Thanks for that. Yes, I'm in Beenleigh. I photograph birds in Doug Larsen Park. All the best.

I think you told me about Doug Larsen park. Great spot! Cheers
Lovely shots alcatraz, very pretty little birds. Managed to get a few shots myself on the weekend of a couple of adults feeding their young.

Thanks mate. Lovely little birds. Look forward to seeing your shots!
The tail on the GHC is shorter as well whereas the TGB has a long tail.
