Hi Rick ,great set of photos ,I live in Stawell and can see the Grampians from my front yard and have said on this site what a birders paradice the whole area is ,last years fires wipped out most of the Wartook Valley and went through Roses gap to the HWY we had fire 4k from my place and only 2k from the step sons place, scary stuff !
Even in the burnt out area it didn't take long for the birds to return ,the Grampians park is so big and so diverse there's always something new you can literally pull up anywhere and there will be birds there ,I love it here !
All wonderful photos Rick - always really enjoy seeing your photos.
I dont think I have ever seen a Rosella on the ground - only seen them in trees and bushes. Recently discovered they have a beautiful bell like call. Great shot of that currawong too.
sFat BUrns I am unsure of your comment, some additional information would be helpful;
the Crimson Rosella (nominate race, ssp elgans) has a range from south-east SA thru Victoria and NSW to se QLd; ssp nigrescens has a range inlcuding Cairns to Mackay (I saw 1 on the Eungella Plateau yesterday)
Lovely series of photos.
Thanks for sharing!
Happy Birding!

Great shots and lovely birds, Rick. I don't think the parrot comes north?
