I went to Mt Annan Botanical Gardens last week to try to find some Plumed Whistling Ducks that were reported, unfortunately I didn't find them but instead I took some photos of a Royal Spoonbill and a Australasian Grebe with chicks.

Lovely shots Tim. Can't go wrong with those two birds.
Spoonbill looks like it's about to fall over backwards :-)
Didn't even see the Grebe chicks at first! Well done.
Awesome photos, Tim! I especially like the Grebe photo :)
What camera and lense did you use?
M.M.
Thanks Rick and M.M.
I use a Canon 7d with a tamron 150-600mm lens.
Cool photos Tim. I especially love the Grebes shot. I have the same lens but am using it on a Canon 70D instead.
NIce shots, Tim.
Love it when the grebes have their young.
A friend of mine pops in there when she is in Sydney and sends me a pic of a Pacific Baza that she gets when she is there, only to rub it in as she knows i don't have one yet :(
