Hi all,
I always carry a little handy-cam with me on my morning walks - the image quality it produces isn't great, but it's usually good enough to ID a bird I'm not familiar with, and it records fleeting detail better than my eyes usually manage. Anyway, I was initially disappointed with the blurry images I caught of a pair of eastern yellow robins ... until I realised how much these adorable little birds resemble Golden Snitches!
Anyone who's familiar with the Harry Potter series will know all about Quidditch, the magical ball game played on broomsticks. The goal of the game is for the Seeker to catch the enchanted Golden Snitch - "a small gold-coloured sphere with silver wings, about the size of a walnut".
So, I couldn't resist a little bit of Photoshopping ...
No, no, not thaat one! He was meant to catch the other one to the left!
