He turned up this morning!!
No idea where he suddenly came from? He didn’t change into breeding colours in my garden, he must have flown in. Hope he will stay? But why wouldn’t he?
I have never witnessed a more frantic welcome before. All morning at least 10 girls chased after him. It almost looked at some stage as if he had enough and was hiding in a shrub, just to catch his breath 
. During that time the girls were attacking each other viciously. While some girls were fighting, he took off with just one of them
. It was hard to follow and get a good shot, this one isn't too good
. There will be more soon. Here is one I took a few minutes ago.

I didn't see the "fly in" today, but I didn't go looking either, it rained all day
But I spotted one of the resident males sporting a tiny blue sparcle on his cheek
