I’m not sure what a higher order project means?. Will you have to back it up with photos and audio, or will it only be question , reasoning , theory …. That kind of thing? There are so many topics I would find interesting, some of them might sound simple , but can be expanded on. You would know by now that Wrens are my favourite birds. There is still so much to talk about them, and many questions. When I observed the clan that had a nest in front of my house, I sat there for hours to observe them. There are so many different calls they make, all having a very specific purpose. So, the different meaning of various calls is something I’d be interested in. The hierarchy in a clan with different males changing into breeding colours (in and back out)the size of the harem, who gets to mate with whom…..all those fascinating questions. I'm sure other members will have much better ideas than mesurprise

Good luckyes

Thanks Araminta,

Just to clarify this project would be largely a written project with a diary of progress but also with an end product of being a coffee table book. Also a higher order question means that it is a complex question.

One option would be to contact your local botanic garden or possibly university and ask them about what sorts of studies they are doing on birdlife. If some data was available, that could give you a great place to start.
