Help me identify this bird

Hello,

I live in Osborne Park and every morning at about 4am-5am I hear it singing. It makes the same call every 5 seconds or so. I'd love to know what bird this is. I managaged to record it this morning (not great quality and very quiet) but you can hear it's distinctive 4 short calls and one long one, it sounds like a whistle to me. The best part of the recording is right at the end, make sure you have your audio up as loud as possible.

Help me solve this mystery if you can :)

Hi Lauren,

You might need to double-check the link, as it doesn't seem to work for me.

It looks like that is a link to edit the video.

Very hard to hear but my guess would be pied butcherbird or currawong.

In which state might Osborne Park be, thelaurenjones? I live in SA so Osborne Park doesn't mean a lot to me.

Perth, Western Australia. Sorry for not specifying. :)

Apart from what sounds like a Muffled Noseblower wink, I'm not too sure... sorry.

I'm not sure, but I think Pied Butcherbird would be the most likely candidate.

Thanks, thelaurenjones. Knowing precisely where is often a big help in identification.
