At first you'd think it looks like a male Darter,but then, they do have yellow legs. (unless it's been hanging out with the Magpie Geese, this is a joke?) Waiting for some experts to tell us.
Looking at drawings and other photos of the Australasian Darter I was not expecting it to be chestnut all over, most of them seem to be grey coloured on the back

I found that too Neville, and in my books they all have yellow legs. (the bird does look like a Darter though, is there a morph?)
