HI M-L & Karen
Thanks for the welcome, at the moment I am at Soldiers Point Port Stephens there literary hundreds of white cockatoos here, they come in the evening and the noise is deafening, and then just like someone said go to sleep there quiet, until first light and then just like someone said wake up there into again, for about an hour, then they fly off and stay away all day until that evening, and then it starts all over again.
M-L you were saying that the pictures I took were female and male Common Koel
I do not know much about birds really and for some reason I thought they were a cook coo of some sort. There have been some birds in my yard that has put their eggs into other nests, I thought that this may have been the birds that I took the pictures of maybe you can help me out with this one.
Colin
PS hope my grammar is ok my spell checks gone to bed
they are a type of cuckoo, they are just a little larger then the other species of cuckoos(excluding the CBC)
Hi Col, as Nathan said, they are a type of Cuckoo, and they do put their eggs into other bird's nests. Do you remember what other bird's nest it was? Have you seen the poor little bird feeding the huge Baby Koel?
