Honeyeaters

Hi all :) outside my kitchen window i have aloe vera plants - when in flower the little brown honeyeaters visit many times a day (and by the way for the first time today i saw that they have extremely yellow long thin tongues) so cool when you are only like 12 - 18 inches away from them

BUT THEN TODAY ! i spotted a new visitor An Eastern Spinebill (male i think)

it's funny how excited i get when i see a "new" bird it's like i discovered a new species or something :)

Nice shots - especially the Eastern Spinebill, it's very pretty and colourful.
.
I also get quite excited when there's a new arrival at home in the yard. If I hear a different call I have to race to a window or outside and see what it is.
.
Happy birding!
Cheers

Hi Myky50 three great shots here but could be much better with some simple pp work in levels and curves.
Hope you don't mind I re-worked No2 just to show the difference.

A Photo is only as good as the eyes that look at it.

i don't mind bygum - although it gets me close to them it's not the ideal photo conditions - the camera really doesn't like the flyscreen when i have to shot on an angle and they never stay long
