I have been house sitting in the highlands south of Sydney inermittently for the last six weeks and thought that I might share some of the birds. Not all great pictures but a lovely variety. I have not uploaded the parrots, wrens or thornbills which also abound and have already posted the White-Browed Scrub Wrens and Yellow-Tailed Cockatoos. I will post the Bowerbirds separately as the bower is also interesting. I think that I'll volunteer for this job again!
I have not worked out how to put the names under the pictures so here is a list: Bronze Cuckoo-Dove, Wonga Pigeon, Grey Shrike Thrush, Lewins Honeyeater, Golden Whistler, Eastern Whipbird, Eastern Spinebill
nice work

Wow, what a great place, I could help you house sitting. LOL What a line up. The Lewin's looks like a young one. Great job.
