Hi All,
It's been a while. I've moved house and no longer have the luxury of shooting off my balcony or a lake a few minutes away.
I haven't had time for a field trip, but today I visited my daughter who lives in one of the waterfront suburbs of Geelong's Corio Bay. So a stroll along the foreshore with my camera was a must. I met three new friends but have no idea what they are.
I'm sure some of you more experienced birders can help me.
I've worked out that the first one with the yellow face is a Masked Lapwing, also known as a Masked Plover. I think the last one with the black head is a Crested Tern, and the big one may be a Pacific Gull
Correct on all fronts.
1. Masked Lapwing
2. Pacific Gull
3. Crested Tern
Just so you know, there's an ID section if you have to ID any future friends :)
Thanks for that confirmation, Devster.
