This bird comes into the yard in the evening - usual 6 or 7 in the group. Totally black at rest but white showing on the wing in flight. The picture in flight is two birds one behind the other. Any ideas? Up close the eyes merge into the bird colour - no distictive colour.
We are in regional NSW near Tamworth.
I can't see your images but my guess would be a white winged chough or maybe a type of currawong.

This is exactly what he is - also the site mentions mainly in the Narrabri region of NSW, which would fit.
