Could some one explain to me why this White Ibis has the characteristics of the Straw Necked Ibis ?
Namely the straw looking stuff on the neck.
Out of 80 odd Birds that land on my front lawn to feed on lawn grubs.
This is the only one I see with this type of plumage.
Could it be an albino ?
Not a albino Straw-necked, I think you have a breeding White Ibis. Plumes are normally described as sparse and pale yellow. This bird seem not to know that.
