I've spotted a couple of little birds in my magnolia this morning. I've taken a picture, but unfortunately I don't know how to upload it to this site.
Here is the desciption:
About 12 cm long. Light grey belly and dark grey wings and back. Black head. Distinctive pointy black crest. White cheeks and some red near the eyes. Also some red on belly near underneath the tail...
I must add that I live in Sydney inner west...
Would anyone have an idea of their name?
Thank you!
Do you know this little crested bird?

One way I found to identify birds when starting out to bird watch_--- To search a Field Guide . The non-passerines are at rhe beginning chapters followed by the Passerines. Less to flick through for either catagory. Good luck
Thank you Redbrowfinch, I followed your advice and found out (it took me time!)
That bird I saw is a Red-whiskered Bulbul!
Thanks again...
Your description was excellent - I'd decided Red-whiskered Bulbul
