Help with id please?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help with the id of these birds. It's just for interest but so far no one's sure what they are and I'd be (as well as a number of others) really interested to know. Links to the pictures are here: http://meihua.deviantart.com/art/Lories-in-a-Tree-185073005?q=&qo= http://meihua.deviantart.com/art/FIGHTU-184468412?q=&qo=
Thanks in advance :)

Uhh, where were these taken? I've got no clue on what they are but good luck finding out! I'm assuming you're Aussie?

They look like Rainbow Lorikeets, or hybrids of them...

Rainbow Lorikeet x Josephine's Lorikeet is my best guess.
Could also be the Scarlet Lory but the wing pattern and tail look more like Josephine's.

I'm betting these birds are not Aussies.Ray

Good luck there are over 2000 different lorie lory and lorikeets and thats not including sub-species
but they do look familiar i would start with Fiji and Vanuatu and go from there.

They are Rainbow lorikeets, their orange has been changed to red....well done to whoever did it.
