We have been trying to decide the identity of this lovely little bird that dropped in on me at a lakeside camping ground up at Boreen Point near Noosa.
Little Shrike Thrush and female rufous whistler are the two I am thinking of.
Definitely heard a pair of LST earlier in the day in nearby bushland.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Birdie
I dont know much about either birds but going by our book it looks like a female Rufous Whistler. Not much help as we arent 100% sure sorry.
Female rufous at a guess. How big was it's beak?
To me it looks most definitely like a Female Rufous Whistler. The Little Shrike-thrushes have little to none sexual dimorphisism between sexes.
Hope it helps!
