This was shot at Somersby Falls in Central Coast of NSW.

Thanks for identification

Albert's lyrebird's if I'm not mistaken, well spotted, they only exist in a small portion around the NSW QLD border and aren't exactly common, well done.

I think these would be either female or immature Superb Lyre Birds, especially as they were photographed on the central NSW coast. Either way an excellent and very hard to get pic.Ray

Hi Nahar, I'm with Amateur on this one,Albert's Lyrebirds. We have lots of Lyrebirds in the Dandenongs, but they seem to be larger, and not as rufous-brown above as these? Anyway,if they are Albert's,they are fairly rare?

There are no Albert's Lyrebirds near Sommersby. No way! Unless you are in a zoo of course. These look like immature Superb Lyrebirds to me and even to get them in the open is no mean feat.

Its interesting to note that its rare inthis area. I went there to photograph the falls in eaarly morning light and did not take my 70-300 lens. They came very close so I could take the photos with my 18-105 lens. The light was poor and I took them at 1/60sec !!. Here is another one from the lot.
