I thought these were Tawny Frogmouths but today someone told me they are Nightjars - can I have an ID please?
Thanks

Hi Jaytee
They are Tawny Frogmouths which are actually in the Nightjar family. Owl or Nightjar your not wrong, considering other names given in the Field Guide.
They are definitely now owls! Lot of people think that just because they are nocturnal. I'd rather let a Tawny Frogmouth grab me with their feet than even a small Boobook. LOL!!!!
