ID's please

I came across a number of new birds that I have never seen before, while camping by the beach at Mon Repos. Can someone please help me to ID them.I got hundreds of midgie bites while stalking this heron/bittern ? or whatever . I iwll be forewarned next time I go creeping at sunrise around a tidal creek!!

LBB what is this?

I gather this is a mistletoe bird, sorry about the poor quality, it was my first time with little bird species

Some kind of dove or pigeon, very pretty

this was the best I could get out of about 12 shots of this bird as he fished

G'day Birdie,

Starting from the top;
1) Striated Heron,
2) Unsure; Possibly a Gerygone(?),
3) male Rufous Whistler,
4) Mistletoebird,
5) Possibly a Laughing or Spotted Turtle -Dove?,
6) Osprey

Hi Birdie
I agree with Gelmir on his excellent suggestions, except for the first image. I think it is a Nankeen Night Heron.
Good work by Gelmir to identify the Osprey. I was thinking Cormorant, but I now agree with him.

Hi Birdie
I'm with Gelmir, I think it is a Striated Heron, the dove could be a Bar-shouldered Dove. the LBB? not sure, gerygone, maybe brown, maybe mangrove?

Thanks for that, the heron was a lot of fun to stalk, except for the midgies

I found some better shots of the osprey but still not too good

I had to sharpen them up a bit but the markings are alot clearer now

I have discovered I think that the dove is a mangrove, or bar shouldered dove, as it has a reddish patch on the rear of its neck which is quite visible in one of my other pics. It was taken in the mangroves so I guess that figures.
