We went to Bendigo today, when I saw those birds, but they were a fair way away, so the photos are not as sharp as I wanted them to be. What is it? M-L

They get called Grass parrots around here - probably because they spend a lot of their time eating in the grass :-)

The rump(s) on the bird(s) in the photos is/are rather orange. I'm wondering if they're juveniles. It's that time of year.
