I am sorry there is no picture but will describe the bird
It is about the size of a crow Black with a little white on the back, a red eye and a black curved beak.
They seamed to scavenger as was hanging around the camp site the way a crow would and was never alone. But the beak was longer than a crow and slightly curved.
This was in the area of Lake Eppalock near Bendigo
