I took these pics yesterday, these are all new to me and I can't ID them. I'm sure the knowledge on this forum will be able to help me!

Hi Sherro, maybe the last one is a female satin bower bird, but I could be wrong.
Hi Wanda,
That's actually what I'm hoping! It's popped onto our deck a few times to eat fruit, but is very, very flighty.
I think the first one is a Grey Shrike Thrush and the last one is definately a Female Satin Bower Bird and the middle one, hang on I'm still looking,------ No sorry can't help but my best guess would be a female Thrush or Whistler of some kind. How about a female Black Bird if you'r down in that cold country?

The middle one is an immature honeyeater. Looks like White-plumed, but they can be a bit tricky when young.
You guys are really a great help. Thank you for your ID's!
The shape of bill, colour of eye-ring & eyebrow of the bird in the middle photo suggests that it would be more likely to be an immature Grey Shrike-thrush.
Would you have another photo of the bird?
Cheers,

You could be well on the money. I looked at a photo of mine of the White-plumed Honeyeater adult here

and though perhaps, but looking again, the bill on this bird may be a little thicker and not quite bent like the HE. (I don't like immature birds sometimes)LOL!
What about a pilotbird? I can't remember where you said you were Sherro.

Hi Birdie,
I'm in Leura in the Blue Mountains. Possibly a little too far north?
NO it is not that anyway... definitely the wrong shape and size now that I have found pictures of them

Sherro, if you don't mind me inquiring what camera do you use, because that is a pretty good snap from 100m away, usually my photos look like that when i'm only 10 metres away...
Hi Amateur. I use a Nikon D50 with a Tamron 70-300mm zoom lens
That's do it then! Same focal length as me but different brands. These would be heavily cropped though ..right?

Hi Birdie,
We have an unusual situation, as we have a lovely back deck, and then, nothing! No backyard, just bush. I tend to leave the zoom lens on the camera rather than the 50mm lens, so I can get the distance pics. The birds that come to the deck can be a real challenge with a 70-300mm zoom!
I then put them through Picasa, and crop and sharpen if necessary. Very occasionally I'll colour or light enhance if the conditions are poor.
