It is a male SBB in the process of changing to adult male plumage it is a long process according to this site http://www.fourthcrossingwildlife.com/Satin_Bowerbird.htm

Ive seen the adult birds in the yard over the past couple of years, generally hear them first.

Noisy Minors tend to herald any new arrivals.

Wow. There are so many bowerbirds around my place but I have never seen one at this stage of change. Great shots. ^_^
