Hello Again,
It first looked like a Female S.B, but, the black around the neck is throwing me.
Has the purple looking eyes of a Satin as well.
Sorry about photo quality, best I could do.
Taken at Maiala National Park, Mt Glorious, Qld.
Thanks
Paul

Sounds right to me. Lorne
I think that dark neck mark is due to compression of the feathers as it hunches its neck, Paulsod.
And thanks for giving the location of the photo which is so often a help in identification.
Thanks lorne and Woko for your input.
Went looking for photos again of Female Satins and I have to say that I am not the only one confused.
Saw a few that were definitely Males, but, labelled Females. They didn't notice the lighter coloured beak.
Unfortunately my doesn't show that, so I am going to chicken out and just call it a Satin Bowerbird.
Thanks again.
Cheers
Paul
