I'm certain this is a young Yellow-faced HE, and not a Lewin's HE. There are a few young Lewin's around, much darker than this one. But what puzzles me, the eye in this one is blue. I thought only the Lewin's has blue eyes? But you can see how broad the yellow under the eye is. I have one photo that shows a hint of the black edge around the yellow . What do you think?
Yellow-faced HE M-L. The yellow line is much brighter and extends much further behind the eye than the Lewin's and the body is paler also.
Cheers, Owen.
That's what I thought too. Thanks Owen. What about the "blue eye"? Do the Yellow-faced HE also have them?
M-L
