Working in Kingston SE for a few weeks on and off, so some opportunitys at a new location.
The tidal canal with walking path makes for an easy stroll and with loads of ducks flitting back and forth BIF photo practice is at the top of the list.
Red Wattle Birds are numerous, lots of Grebes and a lone Common Sandpiper add varity, all in all a nice walk and birding location.

the Little Egret is fantastic, regal
Sounds like a great spot. A Nankeen Night-Heron is high on my list of birds I would like to photograph. You did well to get that Red Wattlebird in flight.

have you been to Buckleys Hole Bribie Is?
I had sightings there 7/13, 11/13 and 1/14 - on 1 day there were 10 or 11, if my old memory is correct
I hope Rick doesn't mind but here is a juvenile pic from Oct '11 at Redcliffe Lagoon

Great shot of the egret and getting the red wattlebird in flight is a real challenge.
Thanks all.
No problem Peter, haven't seen a young one before.
3 new ones in there for me. Both the nankeen night heron and little egret are high up on my 'dream' list

Great photos Rick. I too am keen for a Nankeen. I was going to go to Buckleys Hole on Friday but the weather turned to crap so I didn't bother. Definately puts it high on my list now.
