Koombana Park

Besides the dolphin encounter a few encounters in rather small park near Bunbury Inlet.

Rather good variety for small area near the city centre

Great set, especially love the colours in the first 3

Beautiful set - agree with HelloBirdy about the great colours.

Nice one of the male Rufuos Whistler - I have never managed a good shot of the male of that species.

Great set of shots Laza. Are you doing any post production on these shots or are they straight from the camera?

There are a few here that with some very basic editing in Lightroom could be improved quite considerably. The eye on the Rufous Whistler for instance with the shadows reduced would show the eye. Love the shot of the two Australian Ringneck parrots flying past the silo in the background. Actually it's another that could benefit from reducing the shadows.

Thanks for kind comments

WD: I hear you I can spend fruitless time chasing a good shot of whistlers and only end hearing without even a sighting

. Ironically though this guy virtually jumped out on branch in front of me and seemed more interested in catching first morning sun then me

Reflex: Thanks for the advice. I do a little post production with Corel but try to leave photos as raw as possible

I'm still learning finer points with Corel. I like to try to enhance the Rufous photo though ironically auto fix did lighten up ring neck shot.

I actually preferred it darker, eye of the beholder and all that

I love these photos, thanks for posting them.

Excuse my ignorance, but what bird is the fourth picture?

They are nice shots Laza. I agree with Reflex a little tweeking can go a long way. Especially lifting some of the shadows.
