No, Bob Hawke was once known among many in the Parliament as the "Silver Budgie" just like Kylie Mingoue as the "Singing Budgie " and of course now we have the PM with his Budgie Smugglers.
There used to be a federal MP that used to breed budgies as a hobby, forget who it was. Then there was the one who used to hypnotise chooks...
Sir Joh Bjelke used to " feed the chooks " (give a doorstop media interview)...
