I was lucky enough to be able to spend some time late yesterday and this morning at Wachtels Lagoon near Cobdogla, Riverland SA.
Had a great time and managed to photograph four birds that I had not seen before.
This is the last of the four, he/she was hovering just above the ground like a hummingbird and then swooping down catching what I imagine were insects on the ground.
Restless Flycatcher... suits the name well, I see. At first glance these birds look somewhat like a Willie Wagtail, then you notice that the Restless FC doesn't show its tail as much, aslo they lack a white eyebrow.

Yes, I initially thought it was a wagtail, but then it started the hovering behaviour.

also note the white throat of the RF too...
And often a very pale yellow or buff tint on the breast which apparently wears off after the feathers have worn.
and they have a very interesting buzzing or zzzitting noise
