MEADOWBROOK, QLD.

A walk at Meadowbrook today, we saw wrens everywhere, but too quick for us to get decent pics.  This is the best out of a lot of mishaps, and was taken x 10 zoom, then cropped to get the bird close enough to see.  Red Backed Wren.

Beautiful Karen, I have never seen one, I'd love to one day? (even if you think the photos are mishaps, put some up, I would love to see more. Because they are black, they look so serious. Love them, thanks.

ML, seriously, that is the closest to seeing it I've got.  Barry got one that looks like it was of the back of the bird, and it looks to me just like an apple core.  But I'll keep trying to get better ones.  There were so many there today but they just wouldn't oblige.

It's terrific for us to see birds we don't have in our local area. Keep trying!

Nice shot Karen, you done well to catch one sitting still, he looks very serious!

We don't have them down here.

Hehe.....he was studying Barry, very serious.  But it enabled me to get this one quick pic of him.  He was gone 2 seconds later.

I love Red-backed Fairy Wrens! I only saw one once during the summer season. The summer probably wasn't warm enough on the Mid North Coast for them! lol

They are very lovely, aren't they.  So tiny too, but the colours of red on black are outstanding.
