What a gorgeous bird!
I've seen the odd Noisy Pitta, but never so close, and never gotten a decent picture.
That would be a great experience to have the pitta feel so at ease with you. Was kind enough to hop around in the patches of sunlight for you too!

Thanks for the feedback.and sorry for the confusion. I stalked the Pitta after seeing a flash of blue in the distance on this little black shape. It was so at ease with me that I sat down as it hopped about, in and out of the shade so I had to adjust camera settings. I was trying to remember how to take a video... remembered later of course. It was till hopping about as I took my leave (overdue elsewhere by then!). I had heard it in a different area the day before but not had a sighting. This made the trip for me. Sue
Would have made my year Sue! Nothing more wonderful than sitting in the bush surrounded by nature and the rest, a bonus for sure that your clever sneaking paid off to then have this beautiful wild bird play around you, would have been just awesome. Stunning captures of a wonderful bird Sue!
