It's always good to find and photograph a new species and I did just that this morning ( always striving for that AnnieJ clarity)..

Particularly love the last one, really shows the feather detail.
Sweet shots and always nice to see a new bird. Saw my first Blue-billed duck last week but no decent photos.
Couldn't believe how blue the bill was. Previously looking at ducks it was like "Hmmm, that one looks a bit blueish" (usually Pacific Black
) then when you see the real thing it's "Oh, yes that is blue"
I have found them to be rather camera shy but was hoping that the SA birds were less so
