I took this photo of a mangrove honeyeater at Fort Lytton on the Brisbane river yesterday. I also saw a Rainbow Bee-eater at a long distance, but only got pics good enough for an ID.

Nice photo Tim, I haven't seen one of these before. when I worked down that way, years ago now, before all the major development was done, I used to see alot of Rainbow Bee-eaters so it is good to know they are still down that way.

They seem to be really trying to get the conservation side of things going around that area. Good to see. I've never seen one of these though, or a bee eater. Must go back and keep looking.
