Terrick Terrick NP protects a dry woodland of volcanic hills that rise from the plains of north-central Victoria, near the town of Mitiamo. It is best known for a population of Plains Wanderers (although we didn't see one).
This medium-sized bird was perched on a callitris (White Cypress) in July 2012 near the picnic area.
Any suggestions?
Maybe White-plumed Honeyeater ?

cetainly looks like a white plumed honeyeater and i've seen them in the Terricks. Surprised you described them as medium sized however. they're not much bigger than a sparrow.
