For your information, drogon, the Common Blackbird is notorious for wrecking Australian bushland by dropping the seeds of all sorts of feral plants, including Cotoneaster. I'm not sure about blueberry. So if you can discourage the Blackbirds by eradicating their nests & eggs in spring you'll be doing our natural environment a great service. Planting indigenous (those local to your area) will help a great deal, too.
