We went to Coolart today. Far too many tourists.
We were privileged to meet a Snake Catcher (I’m friends with on FB), who released a copperhead close to one of the lakes . He caught the snake yesterday near Mornington Vic, one more beautiful snake free and happy to live in peace.
Not many birds about, noisy people everywhere. We talked to a ranger for some time, she pointed out a tree where a Sacred Kingfisher has a nest in a hollow, but he wasn’t home. But as always, the Tawny Frogmouths were near the car park. To our surprise there was a Baby, how cute is that. Here are some photos.
The Copperhead, good luck and live in peace and free.

Wow M-L,great photos,I love the snake pictures - I've never seen a wild snake, even though I literally live right next to a lake and everyone I know has seen one there.
Beautiful photos of the Tawnies, M-L, and the copperhead photos are interesting too.
Cheers
