I came across this while looking for something else (Brisbane area). I was using a 2x converter on a 300mm zoom, and had to use manual focus in low light, thus the fuzzy result. I haven't been able to find it in my app. Please help. Thanks.

Hi Michael,
I would say it's a juvenile Brush Cuckoo. A photo I took of one on the 8/3/2015 shows the similar markings, but, as a immature stage.

I'm not sure about Michael's Cuckoo, but I think the one in post #5 by Paulsod might be a female rufous morph Oriental Cuckoo.
Hi Michael, Here is 2 more photos of a young Brush Cuckoo, taken at Tinchi Tamba Wetlands Reserve at Bald Hills.
Hi Steve, It doe look a lot like a Oriental Cuckoo (rufous morph) but, it lacks the yellow eye-ring they have. I wish it was as I chased after the 2 at Tinchi Tamba, but, still missed out on photos.
