I posted a Jacky Winter earlier as it was on my way to Mudgee as was Mt Tomah. I am trialling camera and lens. Some pictures are cropped and I am not too unhappy with the end result. Obviously would be nice to get closer.
A few birds from the Mudgee veggie patch. It was very popular with all the finches except for Double-bars on this occasion. A number of birds were nesting in the hedge and Zebras, Red-brows and Plum-heads all hung about partcular nest areas. Once in the hedge it was very difficult to get a clear shot.

They are lovely shots. I'd be happy with them. A little cloning out of some oof branches and that PHF would look awesome. Love the Silvereyes as well.
Great shots again! Gorgeous markings on the Plum-Headed Finch . You southerners are spolit with the abundance of Silvereyes and Zebra finches. Looks like your happy with the new equipment.

Lovely collection of little bird photos.
The silvereyes photo is a beauty - i dont think i have ever seen them on the ground before. Catching them in some bright sunshine shows of their colours very well.
Beautiful shots Mudgee. Love the Silvereyes.
I think you've made a good choice with your new equipmnet. Some great results!
