Today I was lucky enough to be asked to release a Grey Currawong, after being rescued under Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary's FOC (Friends of Carers) program. Unfortunately no good photos of "Mr Currie" as he was too fast getting back to the forest.

While with the Carer who does a lot of rehab with birds, I was lucky enough to have a close encounter with these guys. Unfortunately they would not come out into the open perch area, so these will have to do. These 2 will be released closer to spring, once their rehab is complete, and their colleagues make a return to Tassie. Both were involved in separate accidents with vehicles, and lucky enough to survive.

Beautiful photos Dale. I love the last one the most.

It is very encouraging to hear that some people who hit birds with cars, are nice enough to not just leaving them to die. (Although most of the time it will be the car after the one that hit any wildlife, that will stop)

Thanks to all the envolved people who care.heart
