Funnily enough there are quite a few around the Alexandria, Beaconsfield, Rosebery and Mascot area of Sydney which is an industrial area (but is changing). There are a lot of paperbarks and some teatrees as well as wattles and gums. All the newer updated small business estates have native gardens and there are wetlands at St Peters and around the airport Botany area.
Great to read about the native gardens in the small business estates, richman. That'll save them heaps on water.
Heaps of New Holland Honeyeaters here (s.e. slopes of Mt Lofty Ranges, SA) feeding mainly on the flowering SA Blue Gums Eucalyptus leucoxylon. At present I'm counting a maximum of between 20 & 40 each week.
I really like these little guys. Love the feather shot. Wasn't there a forum for feather shots?
