Nudgee Beach.

I went to Nudgee beach yesterday and came across a family of Rainbow Bee-eaters.

I took quite a few shots before one of them eventually landed on a branch without other branches in the way.

The nice long bill suggest they haven't dug the tunnel for the nest yet?

Another nice catch.

If you look at the beak on the larger bird it appears to have caught two bees.

Reflex you can move it yourself, just edit the topi at the top of the page. Nice pics, like the last with 2 birds.

Maybe they have already reared their chick or is this Mum having a bad hair day?

Nice work, Reflex.

They're gorgeous. I might just have to get out and about this Brissie long weekend and do some bird photography myself.

Cheers
