Pale Headed Rosella?

Taken in Samford valley.

I see this bird (or one similar) quite regularly but it is very suspicious and even takes off when I stop the car but I did manage to get this shot. Usually on it's own if that means anything.

Yes, maybe the red tinges on the face are suggestive of hybridisation with Easterns or Crimsons somewhere along the line.

Pale-headed rosellas are usually very shysmiley I agree with zosterops about the hybridisation, it is common if you are in an area with the different species.

Yes, they definitely hybridize in your general region Reflex.

Thanks Tim. Here's a photograph taken this morning before I set off for work. I hadn't noticed the second bird so maybe there is a pair of birds?
