Well done Soakes, these are such beautiful birds and can be quite hard to get a good photo of, so do post some more if or when they come back as I never tire of seeing these.
Unfortunately they didn't come back and I haven't heard them lately either. Perhaps they quieten down once they finish building their nests - or perhaps they were chased away by the wattle birds. :/
That is too bad Soakes .... I have only ever achieved a blurry flash of these birds ... even though I know where some are nesting.
Yesterday my daughter had her hair cut ( it was rather long before) so I have hung out an onion bag full of it on the back fence and hope that some of my local feathered friends will sleep more comfortably at night as a result.
nice pic of a gorgeous little bushbird. just take a quick peek and see if the male keeps coming and going. chances are the female is incubating thus is staying put in the nest chamber
Great photos soakes, what kind of pardalotes are they? They are really strong orange colours.

Thanks. They are spotted pardalotes - the most colourful of the pardalotes I think.
I took these photos in a bit of a hurry. I will try to get some better ones, assuming these birds come back to the same place to collect material.

Lovely to see this. Wish they'd come here to nest.
